August Expansion

August started off mildly, but towards the end things really started to heat up. Boston Open Screen returned, and I sort of fell into being a part of the coordinating team. Which is something I'm really excited to be a part of!

My freelance videographer account with StudioNow finally got some attention, and I've been on two small business profile shoots.

I finally got around to wrapping up an edit on a web sitcom with some old friends, and it's a welcome reminder of how silly video production can be.

Thanks to a friend in the Open Screen gang, I've started producing videos for FLIR.

Boston Open Screen

Last winter, I started attending Boston Open Screen at Coolidge Corner Theatre, and got hooked. I like getting engaged with a community and a scene, and so I endeavored to make this quick spotlight video. I'm also a member at Brookline Interactive Group, and took advantage of the access to their JVC GY-HM150U. The footage in the video below was shot on 3 cameras:
  1. My trusty iPhone 4s for the hi-speed 1st person shots
  2. A Canon t4i equipped with a 50mm f1.8 lens for the best possible footage in a dark movie theater
  3. The JVC GY-HM150U as a B-Cam on sticks with zoom, and decent light sensitivity
